Logan Ellis Tomes

Born into an average family on Earth in the year 2249, Logan Tomes inherited his Grandfathers’ passion for mechanics and engineering. After learning all his grandfather could teach him, he took a job at the local starport fixing Starfleet shuttles. His natural talent with machinery caught the eye of the crew chief and resulted in a recommendation to the local Starfleet recruitment office, where he enlisted much to the pride of his family. While at Starfleet, Tomes became fairly popular and likeable, rubbing elbows with future heroes like Pavel Chekov. Chekov, Tomes and T’Vae formed a lasting and mischievous friendship much to the exasperation of their starfleet intructors. Tomes coined the phrase ‘Friendly Insubordination to describe his behaviour and often dragged T’vae into his mischief much to the amusement of their classmates. After graduating Tomes remained in contact with T’vae and his fellows of Class 2268 until the tragic loss of both T’vae and Tomes at the battle of DS K-13, however, the truth of the situation is through unexplained circumstances the two friends arrived in the 25th Century. The comradery between Tomes and T’Vae and their crews enabled the displaced starfleet personnel to cope with the trauma of their shared experience and adapt to the future. Although both captains are resistent to adapt to new transporter procedures as “They don’t intend to waste all the time spent on synching our transporter requests to go to waste dammit.” As far as the 25th Century knows T’vae and Logan are exceptional captains with a running injoke around technology and starfleet procedures from the 23rd Century. They and their crews often work alongside each other, achieving results that often are above expectations. Tomes serves with loyalty and dedication to his crew, with the expectation that each crewmember serve to their best ability while remaining approachable as a commanding officer.
