S'Geras

An older officer within Starfleet, S’Geras is a “mustang” – a former NCO that attended Officer Candidate School. Thanks to his decades of experience in the every level of Starfleet service, S’Geras is considered an invaluable member of any crew he serves with. As such, his word carries far more influence than the number of pips on his uniform would suggest.

S’Geras was killed by assimilated junior officers during the Borg attack on Frontier Day in 2401. He was succeeded as First Officer by Victor Travers.

The outbreak of the Dominon War during the beginning of S’Geras’ service career has left an indelible mark on the Caitian. Working as an NCO aboard a Cheyenne–class and later a Steamrunner-class during the war, S’Geras saw some of the roughest fighting in the fleet, and he has carried this experience with him to every subsequent posting. He has little patience for errors in judgement or cowardice, dislikes small talk, and generally doesn’t try to get too close to his crewmates. While age has mellowed him out somewhat, it is not uncommon for those serving beneath him to be rather terrified of the man.

Despite his gruff exterior, he developed a close yet undeniably workplace friendship with Jimena Zelenko during their time together on the USS Tecumseh.
