The Himalaya was far in its projected mission to deploy most of the communication repeaters that would serve as a lifeline between Hecate and Archanis. Unknown of the surrounding happening, they face the problems of what the blackout throws at them. Adrián had made his way to the industrial workspace to check the work and be more among his own kind of people. Everything was on schedule, as he nodded to Marisol that showed him the latest update, until.

Bridge to Captain Valerio, long sensors are barely working, but we are detecting an appearance of a dense, massive object emerging from a potential Underspace aperture, its fast and direct path to the Himalaya

The engineering crew stopped their work looking in the direction of Adrián who felt the weight of command sink in and looked around knowing he was surrounded by the brightest minds, it was not him alone “Red alert, bridge I will provide an answer soon stand by and keep track of it” He looked around “Ideas? We have limited time”.

Teb was already pulling out the data for the massive object that was approaching, “Gravimetric flux readings are off the charts, I am detecting no subspace displacement. The object is on an inertial drift vector, accelerating along a paracausal trajectory. I have got no communications or active energy readings”.

Tapping quickly on her console “If this object impacts, structural integrity is at risk” T’Fal announced calculating the vectors.

Walking to a wall panel, Marisol looked at the given data and swipes a line, “If we use the navigational deflectors to emit a phased graviton burst, it should create an inertial wake to push the ship off collision course. We will lose the latest communication array”.

Looking at the data and taking in all the given advice of the situation, Adrián nodded “Overclock inertial dampeners to 150%, ignore the safety regulation alerts. Monitor thermal load!” He shrugs as Adrián tries to calculate the vectors himself, “Divert auxiliary plasma conduits to reinforce structural integrity fields.” He saw the timer that bridge gave them “Preconfigure a cyclical tachyon pulse modulation to hold deflector coherence”.

“On it, overriding the safety regulators” H’ulish announced.

“Diverting plasma conduits” Brel followed up.

A spike of energy is shown coming from the Himalaya as the ship’s navigational deflector dish phased a graviton pulse slams into the void, creating invisible ripples in the fabric of space. Like shockwaves through water, with brute force is the Himalaya pushed sideways as the dark object misses the ship by a hair. As expected, a violent explosion as the massive object takes the communication array out and disappears into the darkness of space.

Barely able to hold his stand, Adrián asks “Damage report”

“Microfractures sealed via emergency shielding, DC teams on the way for repairs. EPS relays blown in two secondary systems, shields holding at 74%” T’Fal saw the data coming in.

“Bridge get me a report on what the hell that was” Adrián was not amused.
