Location: USS Paso Robles, Chameer Quarters

“I thought you’re avoiding me?” Lira said no with the playful smile as she noticed that Jaxon walk into their quarters. It wasn’t the biggest quarters out there but it wasn’t that bad. It was a little bit on the small side. She was sitting on the sofa, and she washed and walked through the door.

“No.” Jaxon said with a smile on his own. “It has been a busy time but I finally got out on time.” His eyes met hers. “You look comfortable. Let me clean up a minute and I’ll join you.”

“Well I’m not comfortable with you ignoring me, but I can let it slide. I know we’ve been pretty busy. Just don’t make a habit of it.” Lira pointed out to him, even though he technically arranged her, she was still the head of the household even though they were technically yet married.

“I will be better about.” Jaxon returned. He needed to gain structure in his work life. Lira was fixing him a warning. “I will be home on time from now on.”

“Or just at least let me know, if you’re going to be late. I think that’s not asking too much.” Lira said to him, and realizing that she probably got off earlier than he did, mainly because she didn’t have to deal with the bridge and duty switch changes she worked in logistics all day so she can set her own schedule.

“I will make certain you are informed of my schedule and changes.” Jaxon nodded. “You are right that wasn’t wise thinking on my part.” His eyes met hers. “I do apologize for that.”

“Now how can I stay mad at adoring eyes like that.” Lira said with a big smile on her face, and a more calm demeanor.

“I was hoping they would win you over.” Jaxon said with a smile. “I prefer it when we are both happy.”

“And you have succeeded.” Lira said with a big smile on her face. She waited to see if he can continue to sweep her off his feet.

“I am happy to hear that.” Jaxon replied easily. “You have the most beautiful smile when you are happy.”

“Oh you better keep those lines coming.” Lira said with loving eyes and a teasing tone. She really appreciated that cheesy little lines, it made her feel special.

“Lines?” Jaxon said with a smile. “It is the truth which makes it easy to say. I know I am a lucky man.”

“What you’re saying I’m not a lucky girl for finding a guy like you?” Lira said it and teasing manner, she had a big old smile on her face.

“We are both lucky.” Jaxon said with a smile. “How about that.”

“Well, aren’t you a charmer.” Lyrica said as she walked over and pulled him close, as she gently kissed his lips.”

Jaxon kissed her back. “Only for you.” H

e said and the scene faded away.
