The captain with a padd of information in her hand was reviewing the crew listing stepping onto the bridge, she heard some curse words coming from the Science Station.

“Talat?” she asked. Talat, part Ferengi and part Klingon, looked mostly Klingon but had Ferengi ears and teeth, let out a toothy grin.

“This was T’mal’s idea!” Talat spurted out.

“Captain.” T’mal said in a cold manner.

“Why aren’t you two…” Helen was interupted…

“Three…” Walton piped in.

“Why are half my senior staff still here?” the captain inquired.

“Now seemed like the optimal time to upgrade the sub system targeting as well as the primary sensor systems.” T’mal said.

“Yes but three of you? You all should be on Starbase 93.” The Captain said. She really was looking forward to some alone time.

“I apologize Captain, but they were needing upgrades since the Attack from the Vaadwaur. Starfleet Orders. I meant to bring this to you, but you haven’t been yourself lately and well…” Talat was rambling.

“It is fine Lieutenant’s. Just get some shore leave, and make sure our new Doctor gets some too.” The captain said making her way to the ready room.

“Aye,” Walton tilted her eye, “full stop there speedy.”

Both Talat and T’mal looked at Walton.

“What about you? When are you going on the Holodeck?” Walton enquired.

The Captain stopped, while she appreciated Candor from her senior officers, it was reserved from the officers who were there for a long time, not someone who was there five minutes. Mind you she was right, she had to lead by example. Eventhough she wanted to go after Dr. Tiern, she had to take time. “Alright, dinner 1900 hours Captain’s Mess Hall whoever is available. That will be my contribution and never call me ‘speedy’ again.”

The captain took leave from the bridge.
