USS Constellation: Provided resupply and crew rotations at Starbase Bravo, the starship Constellation prepares for a continuing mission of exploration into the Cygnus Reach.  But she won’t be alone.  Captain Taes is engaged in the formation of Constellation Explorer Squadron to undertake this journey beyond furthest frontiers of the Federation.

USS Almagest: Captain Elbon and the starship Almagest have been invited to investigate a medical mystery on Kunhri III: a small, but growing, population of Remans are experiencing chronic digestive dysfunction.  Crew members from Constellation, who seeded the planet’s algae farms in 2400, join the Almagest crew to aid the suffering Remans.  Since Captain Elbon assisted in Kunhri III’s alliance with the Romulan Republic, the planet’s hydroponic gardens and farms have since flourished, turning Kunhri III into a breadbasket work for the Velorum System.  A poison in their food system would be catastrophic.

The only Constellation crewmember to join the Almagest’s mission, despite having no history with Kunhri III, is Flavia ir-Llantrisant.  As the mission commander of a complement of civilian scientists from the Romulan Free State, Flavia removed herself from the Starfleet politicking at Starbase Bravo.  She offered to make herself useful in the Kunhri system: but who does she represent?  Her own self or the Romulan Free State that sabotaged Starfleet’s efforts to bring food security to Kunhri III?
