Part of Bravo Fleet: The Devil to Pay

USS Republic

Usurper

An empty throne seized, another under threat.

Mission Description

When Sidda Sadovu overthrew the Last Pirate King another life ago, she refused to take up the title. Even tracked down and marooned the only pretender to the throne, bringing an end to an underworld organisation that loomed large in the spinward marches. But now someone has laid claim to the empty throne, rallying disreputable sorts to their banner without any consideration of restraint, seeking only plunder and chaos in their name.

Sidda was done with that part of her life, a new chapter before her. But the past has a nasty habit of rearing its ugly head. This time though she has to play by the rules.

But just exactly whose rules?

“You’re kidding, right?” asked Willow Beckman as she sat amongst the senior staff of the USS Republic. “It can do that?” Matt Lake was standing at one end of the conference table, the screen beside him on the wall looping through an animation he’d procured on the subject of the briefing [...]

USS Republic: Usurper

“Alright pirate-whisperer, what’s going on?” Blake Pisani’s out of the blue question was just as unexpected as her appearance in the Agora and her taking the seat opposite Jenu Trid. The Agora wasn’t terribly busy at this hour, more of a mid-shift lunch break vibe filling the space than [...]
