As the Thunderchild begins its mission in the Thomar Expanse, an urgent distress call is received from the Free Haven Colony. An attack by Breen privateers has left nine colonists missing, and many more injured. The Thunderchild diverts course to render aid and investigate, an investigation that leads to a shocking revelation. Old enemies of the Federation resurface, and Captain Rynar Jast and crew need to end the threat once and for all.
