Location: USS Paso Robles, Conference Room

Renato was in the ready room, and he’d already gone to the pleasantries of getting their drinks and getting everybody situated. He was over by the main display console. “Our mission is a two-step mission, our first objective is to deliver the self sealing stem bolts to the Roman people in Talvath. But our primary objective is to increase our sensors to the maximum potential and try to flush out any romulans hiding in the area. We are mainly looking for the Tal Shair.” 

“Are we anticipating any direct issues with them?” Jaxon spoke up with interest. “Or are we just making a statement?” 

“I hope not, we are not really designed to handle the Tal Shair.” Malek said, with a tone of concern in his voice.

“The Paso Robles, will Chief. Have some faith. We got this.” Aria said, trying to reassure the chief of the Boat.

“I agree with Lieutenant Chen, we got this. It’s a game of cat and mouse, in a sense right, Captain.” Lira Asked, as she waited for the Captain’s response.

“I think we are trying to flush them out of hiding, so they can withdraw, it appears they are here for surveillance and intimidation.” Renato suggested it to Jaxon. He hoped they were only here for surveillance. 

“To error on the side of caution, I will be ready at the helmsman station for any unforeseen issues that may arise.” T’Shan said in a stoic voice.

“The question is will they.” Reeve spoke up. “The Tal Shair can be unpredictable and have been known to do the unexpected.”

“We will be prepared.” Aria Chen spoke up. “For whatever happens.”

“I am happy to hear that, Reeve and Taren I want you both ready to tinker with the ship if the situation calls for it.” Renato suggested to his chief operations officer and to his chief engineer. 

“Engineering will be ready, Captain.” Taren nodded. “And Lieutenant O’Connell and I have a few tricks up our sleeves, you can trust in that.” 

“Taren is right, Sir.” Reeve agreed. “We have Already been working on some things that we may be able to adapt into this.” 

“What do you have in mind, Lieutenant O’Connell?” Renato asked, he was curious to hear what he had come up with?

“Taren and I have been working on a device that will send false data. Make them believe ships are close to joining us.” He grinned. “It would take them a bit to realize it wasn’t legitimate.” 

“All we need is a minute.” Mira said, with a warm smile on her face. “I agree with Lieutenant O’Connell, his plan has the best chance of success.”

“I’m happy to hear that, sounds like we have the making of a plan.” Renato said, as the staff started to talk about the little details of the mission. The scene starts to fade away.
